What You Can Learn

Explore techniques and styles that make you unique in the beauty space, grow familiar with standard operating salon and spa procedures, and polish the skills you wish to develop with Esteem Academy’s hands-on instruction.

Our curriculum covers all the bases you’ll need to pursue a role as a professional hair stylist, nail tech, lash and makeup artist, and even a private salon owner.

As a student, you’ll begin with sanitation best practices, product chemistry, and anatomy. Then, after watching live demonstrations from our instructors you can practice on mannequins and quickly move onto providing actual services to clients under the supervision of licensed professionals.

After completing the requirements of our program, you can be prepared to sit for the state board and become a licensed cosmetologist in Utah.

Resources for Our Students

We work hard to provide each student the resources and tools they need to be successful upon graduation. Esteem Academy of Beauty offers full-time day courses and part-time evenings to account for busy schedules, as well as financial aid resources like in-house payment plans to ensure tuition doesn’t stand in the way of your career goals. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.

While we cannot guarantee future employment, our aim is to build up the next generation of beauty professionals through our established network of industry experts and instructors.

What are the application requirements for this program?

Prospective students are required to have either successfully completed high school, received their GED, or provide evidence of completion of home schooling that state law treats as a home or private school.

How soon can I start this program?

New classes begin approximately every 10 weeks. Schedule your tour to speak with an admissions representative about a start date that works best for you! After completing enrollment, we’ll make sure you’re ready for your first day of class.

How long does the cosmetology/barbering program take?

The length of the program varies based on which class schedule you choose! Our full-time program can be completed in as little as 11 months while our part-time program can take as little as 21 months.

What is the class schedule like?

Class schedules vary based on whether you’re enrolled in our full-time or part-time programs.

Full-Time Days:

9:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch

Part-Time Evenings:

5:15pm – 10:00pm Monday – Wednesday

How much does the program cost?

The breakdown of our program is as follows:

  • Tuition: $16,000
  • Application Fee $50
  • Enrollment Fee: $150
  • Kit & Books: $2,400

Will Esteem Academy help me find a job after I graduate?

Yes! Our academy provides many opportunities to meet professionals in different areas of the beauty industry during your instruction to help determine which specific role you’d like to pursue. While we cannot guarantee employment, we will help in any way we can!

What if I started another program at a different beauty school?

Transfers are welcome! We would love for you to finish your cosmetology education with us at Esteem Academy of Beauty, and are happy to help you navigate any necessary transfer procedures.
